Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Net-Zero Building Designer course aims to provide professionals with the comprehensive knowledge and skills needed to design buildings that achieve net-zero energy consumption. The course focuses on integrated design approaches that combine passive and active strategies to minimize energy demand and maximize renewable energy generation.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Net-Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB): Definition and Principles of Net-Zero Buildings, Global and Regional NZEB Standards and Goals, Key Components of NZEB Design, Life Cycle Thinking in NZEB, Environmental and Economic Benefits, Role of a Net-Zero Building Designer.
Module 2: Passive Design Strategies: Site Orientation and Building Form Optimization, Natural Ventilation and Daylighting, Thermal Mass and Insulation Techniques, Shading Devices and Glazing Solutions, Passive Solar Heating and Cooling, Building Envelope Performance Enhancement.
Module 3: High-Efficiency Building Systems: Energy-Efficient HVAC System Design, Lighting Design with LED and Controls, Smart Building Controls and Automation, Water Heating and Demand Reduction, Energy Recovery and Ventilation Systems, Demand-Side Energy Management.
Module 4: Renewable Energy Integration: On-Site Renewable Energy Systems (Solar PV, Wind, Biomass), Grid-Connected vs Off-Grid Solutions, Solar Thermal Applications, Energy Storage Systems (Batteries, Thermal), Inverters and Balance of System Components, Sizing and Simulation of Renewable Systems.
Module 5: Performance Modeling and Tools: Building Energy Simulation Software (EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder), Climate and Site Analysis Tools, Load Calculations and Performance Forecasting, Whole Building Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Energy Modeling for Certification Compliance, Interpretation of Simulation Outputs.
Module 6: Certification, Compliance, and Case Studies: LEED, IGBC, BREEAM, and Passive House Standards, Compliance with Local Building Codes and NZEB Policies, Financial Incentives and Carbon Credit Programs, Net-Zero Cost-Benefit Analysis, Documentation and Verification Process, Global Case Studies of Net-Zero Energy Buildings.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
