Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Textile Wet Processing Technician course is designed to provide thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of wet processing techniques used in the textile industry. The primary objective is to prepare learners for skilled roles in managing and executing water-based processes that transform raw textile materials into finished, value-added products with specific color, texture, and functional properties.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Textile Wet Processing: Overview of wet processing in textiles, Importance and objectives of wet processing, Stages of wet processing (pre-treatment, dyeing, printing, finishing), Types of textile fibers and their behavior in wet processing, Water quality and its role in wet processing, Safety precautions and use of PPE.
Module 2: Pre-treatment Processes: Desizing, scouring, and bleaching techniques, Enzymatic vs conventional methods, Chemicals used and their handling, Equipment for pre-treatment (jigger, winch, continuous range), Parameters affecting process efficiency, Impact of pre-treatment on fabric quality and dye uptake.
Module 3: Dyeing Operations and Machinery: Types of dyes and their application (reactive, direct, disperse, vat), Dyeing methods (batch, semi-continuous, continuous), Dyeing machines (jet, soft flow, jigger, beam), Recipe formulation and liquor ratio, Shade matching and correction techniques, Process control (pH, temperature, time).
Module 4: Printing Techniques and Post-Processing: Printing methods (screen, roller, digital, transfer), Print paste preparation and ingredients, Fixation and curing of prints, Washing-off and drying procedures, Common printing defects and solutions, Inspection and quality checks for printed fabric.
Module 5: Finishing Processes and Functional Finishes: Mechanical and chemical finishing methods, Softening, stiffening, anti-pilling, water-repellent, and flame-retardant finishes, Finishing machines (stenter, padding mangle, compacting machine), Parameters affecting finish quality, Eco-friendly and sustainable finishing techniques, Quality testing of finished fabric.
Module 6: Quality Control, Safety, and Industry Readiness: Common defects in wet processing and their remedies, Testing methods for color fastness, whiteness, absorbency, Effluent treatment and environmental compliance (REACH, ZDHC), Machine maintenance and safe handling of chemicals, Hands-on training and SOP adherence, Career roles and growth as a wet processing technician.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
