Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Information Architect course is designed to train professionals in organizing, structuring, and labeling content in digital products to enhance findability, usability, and overall user experience. The course covers core concepts such as user-centered design, taxonomy development, navigation systems, metadata design, content hierarchy, and search optimization.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Foundations of Information Architecture: Definition and Scope of Information Architecture (IA), Principles of IA in Digital Products, Role and Responsibilities of an Information Architect, Understanding the User Experience (UX) Ecosystem, History and Evolution of IA Practices, Importance of Structure and Organization in Digital Design.
Module 2: User Research and Content Strategy: Conducting User Research to Inform IA Decisions, Creating Personas and User Scenarios, Content Inventory and Audit Techniques, Aligning IA with Content Strategy and Business Goals, Understanding User Needs, Behaviors, and Mental Models, Mapping User Journeys to Inform Structure.
Module 3: Organizing and Structuring Information: Creating Taxonomies and Controlled Vocabularies, Designing Effective Navigation Systems and Menus, Classification Schemes: Hierarchical, Sequential, and Matrix, Developing Site Maps and Content Maps, Card Sorting and Tree Testing Methods, Grouping and Labeling Content for Findability.
Module 4: Navigation Design and Interaction Models: Principles of Effective Navigation Design, Primary, Secondary, and Utility Navigation Systems, Wayfinding and Orientation Techniques, Designing Breadcrumbs, Menus, and Mega Menus, Interaction Models and IA for Responsive Interfaces, IA Considerations in Apps, Websites, and Platforms.
Module 5: Wireframing, Prototyping, and Documentation: Creating Wireframes to Communicate Structure, Annotated Diagrams and UX Flows, Low-Fidelity and High-Fidelity IA Prototypes, Tools for IA Documentation (Figma, Lucidchart, Axure), Collaborating with Designers, Developers, and Stakeholders, Presenting IA Concepts to Non-Technical Teams.
Module 6: Evaluation, Testing, and Governance: Evaluating IA with Usability Testing and Analytics, Tree Testing, A/B Testing, and Heatmaps for Validation, Maintaining IA Over Time (Governance Models), Scalability and Flexibility in IA Systems, IA for Accessibility and Inclusive Design, Case Studies and Career Pathways in Information Architecture.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
