Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Counseling Psychology and Professional Ethics: Definition, scope, and history of counseling psychology, Differences between counseling and clinical psychology, Roles, responsibilities, and skills of a counseling psychologist, Ethical principles, informed consent, and confidentiality, Cultural competence and diversity in counseling practice, Understanding client-counselor relationship and boundaries.

Module 2: Psychological Theories and Human Development: Major psychological theories: humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, Developmental stages and life-span psychology, Personality theories and their relevance in counseling, Attachment styles and impact on adult behavior, Understanding motivation, learning, and emotional regulation, Applying theory to real-life counseling contexts.

Module 3: Counseling Techniques and Therapeutic Approaches: Core counseling skills: active listening, empathy, reflection, Structured approaches: CBT, REBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Humanistic and person-centered therapy techniques, Crisis intervention and trauma-informed care, Developing treatment plans and setting therapy goals, Termination, follow-up, and evaluating outcomes.

Module 4: Assessment, Diagnosis, and Case Management: Types of psychological assessments and screening tools, Conducting intake interviews and mental status exams, Diagnosing common psychological disorders using DSM-5, Writing case notes, progress reports, and treatment plans, Risk assessment for suicide, self-harm, or abuse, Multidisciplinary collaboration and referral practices.

Module 5: Counseling for Special Populations and Issues: Individual counseling for anxiety, depression, and stress, Relationship and family counseling basics, Adolescent and youth counseling considerations, Career and academic counseling strategies, Addiction, trauma, and grief counseling approaches, Gender, sexuality, and LGBTQ+ affirmative counseling.

Module 6: Professional Practice, Supervision, and Career Development: Establishing a counseling practice or working in institutions, Supervision models and peer consultation practices, Self-care strategies and managing counselor burnout, Licensing, certification, and regulatory guidelines, Continuing education and research in counseling psychology, Ethical dilemmas and reflective practice in real-world settings.
