Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Color Fastness Tester course aims to provide participants with thorough knowledge and practical skills in evaluating the color fastness properties of textile materials and finished products. The course covers various color fastness tests such as washing, rubbing (crocking), light exposure, perspiration, and sublimation according to international standards (e.g., ISO, AATCC). Participants will learn proper sample preparation, testing procedures, equipment operation, result interpretation, and reporting techniques.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Color Fastness Testing: Overview of Color Fastness and Its Importance in Textile Quality, Key Principles of Color Fastness, Factors Affecting Color Fastness in Textiles, Role of Color Fastness Tester in Textile Manufacturing, Understanding the Color Fastness Rating System, Regulatory and Industry Standards for Color Fastness Testing (ISO, AATCC, ASTM).
Module 2: Types of Color Fastness and Testing Methods: Overview of Different Types of Color Fastness (Light, Washing, Rubbing, Perspiration, and others), Light Fastness Testing (Xenon Arc, Weather-O-Meter), Washing Fastness Testing (AATCC 61, ISO 105-C06), Rubbing Fastness Testing (Dry and Wet), Perspiration Fastness Testing, Testing for Bleeding and Staining (Transfer Fastness).
Module 3: Equipment and Tools for Color Fastness Testing: Introduction to Color Fastness Testing Equipment (Xenon Arc, Crockmeters, Launderometers, Perspirometers), Calibration and Maintenance of Testing Instruments, Preparing Samples for Color Fastness Tests, Understanding the Role of Test Specimens and Test Conditions, Equipment Selection Based on Test Type and Fabric, Use of Standardized Rating Cards for Color Fastness.
Module 4: Methodology for Conducting Color Fastness Tests: Standard Testing Procedures for Different Types of Color Fastness, Sample Preparation and Conditioning Before Testing, Performing Light Fastness Testing (Exposure and Evaluation), Performing Washing and Rubbing Fastness Testing, Measuring and Evaluating Color Change and Staining, Documenting Test Results and Ratings.
Module 5: Analyzing and Interpreting Color Fastness Test Results: Understanding Color Fastness Rating Scales (1 to 5 Scale), Analyzing Test Data and Identifying Issues with Color Fastness, Interpreting Changes in Color (Delta E, ΔE), Identifying the Causes of Poor Color Fastness (Dye Type, Fabric Construction, Environmental Factors), Reporting Test Results and Providing Recommendations, Using Statistical Tools for Fastness Data Analysis.
Module 6: Quality Control, Compliance, and Emerging Trends: Quality Control in Color Fastness Testing Processes, Compliance with Industry Standards and Regulatory Requirements (OEKO-TEX, GOTS, etc.), Maintaining Test Consistency and Accuracy in Large-Scale Production, Innovations in Color Fastness Testing Technologies, Sustainable Practices in Color Fastness Testing, Emerging Trends in Smart Textiles and Color Technology (Nanotechnology, Wearable Textiles).
