Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The objective of the Certified Cabinet & Finish Carpenter course is to equip participants with the specialized skills and knowledge needed to build, install, and finish high-quality woodwork, including cabinetry, molding, trim, doors, staircases, and other interior finish elements. The course covers woodworking tools and machinery, reading and interpreting shop drawings, material selection, joinery techniques, hardware installation, sanding, staining, and finishing processes.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Cabinet and Finish Carpentry: Overview of cabinetmaking and finish carpentry, Roles and responsibilities of a cabinet & finish carpenter, Types of woodworking projects and interior finishes, Understanding wood properties and engineered materials, Reading blueprints and shop drawings, Safety practices and regulations in carpentry work.
Module 2: Tools, Equipment, and Materials: Hand tools and their applications, Power tools and stationary machines (table saw, router, planer), Fasteners, adhesives, and joinery hardware, Types of wood and panel products, Veneers, laminates, and finishing materials, Tool maintenance and calibration.
Module 3: Cabinet Construction Techniques: Measuring and cutting materials accurately, Joinery methods (dovetail, dowel, dado, rabbet), Assembling cabinet frames, drawers, and doors, Installing hardware (hinges, slides, handles), Finishing techniques for cabinets, Quality control in cabinet construction.
Module 4: Finish Carpentry Installation: Installing baseboards, crown molding, and casing, Fitting doors, windows, and trim work, Staircase trim and handrail installation, Wall paneling and wainscoting, Scribing and fitting for irregular surfaces, Caulking, sanding, and surface prep.
Module 5: Surface Finishing and Detailing: Staining, painting, and clear coat application, Surface preparation and sanding techniques, Repairing surface defects and scratches, Matching colors and wood grains, Using spray guns and brushes effectively, Detailing for high-end finishes.
Module 6: Jobsite Practices and Customer Service: Site preparation and protection of finishes, Measuring, layout, and project planning, Coordination with other trades (plumbing, electrical), Time management and sequencing of tasks, Communicating with clients and team members, Final inspection and client handover.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
- There is no negative marking in any module.
