Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Abstract Artist course aims to develop students’ understanding and skills in abstract art by exploring fundamental concepts, techniques, and history related to abstraction. Participants will learn how to express emotions, ideas, and visual stories through non-representational forms using various mediums such as painting, drawing, and mixed media. The course focuses on enhancing creativity, color theory application, composition, and the use of texture and form to create compelling abstract artworks.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Abstract Art: History of abstract art, Key abstract art movements, Influential abstract artists, Principles of abstraction, Differences between abstract and representational art, Understanding visual language in abstract art.
Module 2: Elements and Principles of Abstract Art: Line and shape in abstraction, Use of color theory and color harmony, Texture and pattern exploration, Composition techniques, Balance and contrast, Rhythm and movement in abstract works.
Module 3: Materials and Tools for Abstract Art: Types of paints (acrylic, oil, watercolor), Brushes and application tools, Alternative tools and materials, Surface preparation (canvas, paper, wood), Mixed media approaches, Safe studio practices and material handling.
Module 4: Techniques and Styles in Abstract Art: Gestural abstraction and action painting, Color field painting, Geometric abstraction, Collage and assemblage, Drip and splatter techniques, Experimental techniques and texture creation.
Module 5: Concept Development and Creative Process: Idea generation and brainstorming, Sketching and thumbnail development, Emotional expression in abstract art, Abstract symbolism and meaning, Overcoming creative blocks, Developing a personal style.
Module 6: Presentation and Professional Practice: Preparing artwork for display and sale, Framing and mounting abstract art, Photographing and documenting work, Writing artist statements, Marketing and promoting abstract art, Participating in exhibitions and art fairs.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
- There is no negative marking in any module.
