Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified 3D Character Artist course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to create detailed and realistic 3D characters for games, films, animation, and virtual experiences. The course covers character modeling, sculpting, texturing, rigging, anatomy, proportion, expression design, shading, lighting, and industry-standard 3D software tools.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card (Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Fundamentals of 3D Character Art: Introduction to 3D character art, Principles of anatomy and proportion, Understanding form, silhouette, and structure, Character design concepts, Storytelling through character design, Case studies of iconic 3D characters

Module 2: Digital Sculpting and Modeling: Introduction to digital sculpting tools (ZBrush, Blender), High-poly modeling techniques, Base mesh creation, Anatomy-based sculpting, Retopology for game and film characters, Optimizing models for production

Module 3: Texturing and Material Creation: UV unwrapping and mapping, Creating realistic textures, Materials and shaders, Procedural and hand-painted texturing, PBR workflow (Physically Based Rendering), Texture integration into 3D models

Module 4: Rigging and Animation Basics: Fundamentals of rigging, Skeleton and joint setup, Skinning and weight painting, Facial rigging and blend shapes, Introduction to animation principles, Preparing characters for animation pipelines

Module 5: Lighting, Rendering, and Presentation: Lighting techniques for character renders, Rendering workflows (Arnold, V-Ray, Blender Cycles), Composition and camera setup, Creating portfolio-ready character renders, Post-processing and presentation, Visual storytelling through rendered characters

Module 6: Portfolio Development and Industry Practices: Building a professional 3D character portfolio, Presenting characters effectively to clients and studios, Industry-standard pipelines and best practices, Collaboration with concept artists and animators, Iteration and feedback process, Continuous learning and skill development

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

• Duration- 60 minutes.
• Number of Questions- 30.
• Number of Questions from each module: 5.
• Language: English.
• Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
• Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
• There is no negative marking in any module.
