Objective: The Certified Textile Research and Development (R&D) Assistant course aims to provide participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills in textile science, research methodologies, and product development processes. The course covers fiber and fabric analysis, testing techniques, textile material innovation, and quality evaluation. It trains learners to assist in developing new textile products, improving existing materials, and conducting laboratory tests to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Module 1: Introduction to Textile Research and Development: Overview of Textile R&D, Role of R&D in Textile Industry, Research Methodologies in Textile Science, Innovation in Textile Products, Key Areas of Textile R&D, Trends in Textile Technology.
Module 2: Fiber and Yarn Technology: Types of Fibers (Natural and Synthetic), Fiber Properties and Their Impact on Textile Products, Yarn Manufacturing Processes, Yarn Testing and Quality Control, Innovations in Fiber and Yarn Production, Environmental Impacts of Fiber and Yarn Production.
Module 3: Fabric Construction and Finishing: Weaving, Knitting, and Nonwoven Fabric Technologies, Fabric Structures and Properties, Fabric Testing and Performance Evaluation, Techniques in Fabric Finishing, Advanced Finishing Techniques for Functional Fabrics, Sustainability in Fabric Production.
Module 4: Textile Dyeing and Printing: Dyeing Processes and Techniques, Types of Dyeing and Printing (Direct, Reactive, etc.), Color Fastness Testing, Innovations in Dyeing and Printing, Eco-friendly Dyeing Methods, Quality Control in Dyeing and Printing.
Module 5: Textile Testing and Quality Control: Textile Testing Methods and Equipment, Mechanical and Physical Testing of Textiles, Durability and Performance Testing, Chemical Testing in Textiles, R&D Applications in Quality Improvement, Statistical Methods in Textile Research.
Module 6: Sustainable and Smart Textiles: Sustainability in Textile R&D, Development of Eco-friendly Textiles, Smart Textiles and Wearable Technology, Recycling and Circular Economy in Textiles, Innovations in Biodegradable Fabrics, Future Trends in Sustainable Textiles.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
- There is no negative marking in any module.
