Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Spinning Technology Specialist course is designed to equip learners with a deep understanding of spinning operations, machinery, fiber properties, and yarn formation techniques essential for modern textile manufacturing. The course aims to train professionals in managing and optimizing spinning processes to produce high-quality yarns suited for various end uses.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Fundamentals of Spinning Technology: Introduction to spinning and its role in textile manufacturing, Classification of spinning systems (ring, rotor, air-jet, friction), Fiber properties influencing spinning performance, Overview of yarn formation stages, Yarn specifications and characteristics, Importance of spinning in the value chain.
Module 2: Blow Room and Carding Operations: Objectives and functions of the blow room, Machines used in opening and cleaning fibers, Carding process and machine components, Carding settings and production parameters, Waste control and cleaning efficiency, Maintenance and troubleshooting in blow room and carding.
Module 3: Drawing, Combing, and Roving Processes: Objectives of the drawing process and doubling, Drafting mechanisms and machine settings, Combing process and quality improvement, Lap preparation and combing cycle, Roving formation and winding techniques, Faults in preparatory processes and their control.
Module 4: Ring Spinning and Alternative Spinning Methods: Working principle of ring spinning machines, Ring traveler and spindle mechanics, Rotor spinning, air-jet spinning, and friction spinning, Yarn properties from different spinning methods, Machine settings, speeds, and twist control, Comparison of productivity and yarn quality.
Module 5: Yarn Quality Control and Testing: Common yarn defects and their causes, Yarn strength, evenness, and count testing, Use of USTER and other lab testing instruments, Online quality monitoring systems, Waste analysis and process optimization, Quality standards and reporting systems.
Module 6: Automation, Sustainability, and Career Scope: Modern spinning mill layout and automation trends, Energy-efficient spinning technologies, Sustainable fiber use and waste recycling, Safety practices and machine handling protocols, Industrial training and real-time problem-solving, Career opportunities in spinning mills and R&D sector.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
- There is no negative marking in any module.
