Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Fiber Production Technician course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and practical skills related to the manufacturing and processing of textile fibers. The main objective is to enable participants to understand fiber properties, production techniques, machinery operations, and quality standards for both natural (cotton, wool, silk, jute) and synthetic/man-made fibers (polyester, nylon, viscose, acrylic).
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Fiber Science and Production: Classification of textile fibers (natural, synthetic, regenerated), Importance of fiber properties in textile applications, Basic structure and morphology of fibers, Overview of the fiber production process, Roles and responsibilities of a fiber production technician, Global trends in fiber manufacturing.
Module 2: Natural and Regenerated Fiber Production: Cotton and wool processing techniques, Bast fiber extraction (jute, flax, hemp), Degumming and retting processes, Production of viscose, modal, and lyocell fibers, Quality parameters of natural and regenerated fibers, Environmental concerns in natural fiber production.
Module 3: Synthetic Fiber Manufacturing Techniques: Polymer preparation and melt spinning process, Wet spinning and dry spinning methods, Fiber drawing, crimping, and cutting techniques, Production of polyester, nylon, acrylic, and polypropylene, Spinneret design and extrusion system components, Process control and safety in synthetic fiber plants.
Module 4: Fiber Properties and Testing Methods: Mechanical properties (tenacity, elongation, modulus), Physical properties (length, fineness, luster, moisture regain), Thermal and chemical resistance testing, Instruments for fiber testing (HVI, AFIS, strength testers), Fiber identification and blend analysis, Quality assurance and standard test protocols.
Module 5: Machinery, Maintenance, and Safety: Key machinery in fiber production and handling, Maintenance schedules and troubleshooting, Lubrication and cleaning practices, Workplace safety and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), Waste handling and disposal techniques, Documentation and operational logs.
Module 6: Sustainability, Innovations, and Career Development: Eco-friendly fiber innovations (biodegradable, recycled fibers), Sustainable practices in fiber production, Certifications and regulatory compliance (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, ZDHC), Automation and Industry 4.0 in fiber manufacturing, Industrial training and hands-on sessions, Career opportunities in fiber production industries and R&D organizations.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
