Objective: The Certified Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) Coach course is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to effectively lead and sustain Behavior-Based Safety initiatives in various workplace environments. The core objective is to enable participants to understand human behavior, recognize at-risk actions, and apply proven behavioral science techniques to influence and reinforce safe practices.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.

Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Behavior-Based Safety (BBS): Concept and evolution of Behavior-Based Safety, Key principles and psychology behind BBS, Difference between traditional and behavior-based safety approaches, Benefits of implementing BBS programs, Common challenges in behavior modification, Role of a BBS Coach in workplace safety.

Module 2: Identifying At-Risk Behaviors and Hazards: Observation techniques for identifying unsafe behaviors, Types of at-risk and safe behaviors, Root causes of unsafe actions and decisions, Tools for behavior assessment (checklists, observation cards), Linking behavior to incident and injury data, Building a behavior-focused safety culture.

Module 3: Observation and Feedback Techniques: Structured behavior-based observation processes, Active listening and effective communication, Giving constructive feedback without blame, Reinforcing safe behaviors positively, Maintaining objectivity and trust during coaching, Documentation and tracking of observation data.

Module 4: BBS Program Implementation and Integration: Steps in designing and launching a BBS program, Setting measurable behavior safety goals, Engaging employees at all levels, Integrating BBS into existing safety systems (ISO, OHSAS, etc.), Use of behavior data for decision-making, Role of leadership in program success.

Module 5: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement: Analyzing observation and incident trends, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for BBS programs, Conducting regular reviews and feedback sessions, Adjusting strategies based on behavioral data, Case studies of successful BBS implementation, Linking BBS outcomes to overall safety performance.

Module 6: Ethics, Coaching Skills, and Industry Readiness: Ethical responsibilities of a safety coach, Confidentiality and respect in coaching, Motivational and influencing techniques, Conflict resolution and dealing with resistance, Real-world coaching scenarios and role plays, Certification, career scope, and professional development as a BBS Coach.

GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:

  • Duration- 60 minutes.
  • Number of Questions- 30.
  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
  • There is no negative marking in any module.
