Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Safety Supervisor course is designed to provide mid-level professionals with the practical skills and knowledge needed to oversee day-to-day safety operations across industrial, construction, and commercial settings. The course covers hazard identification and mitigation, safety inspections, incident reporting and investigation, emergency response coordination, and effective communication of safety protocols.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Occupational Health and Safety Management: Role and responsibilities of a Safety Supervisor, Importance of safety supervision in the workplace, Overview of occupational health and safety principles, Safety culture and employee behavior, Applicable safety laws, standards, and regulations (OSHA, Factories Act, IS), Hazard identification and workplace safety programs.
Module 2: Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC): Types of workplace hazards (physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, mechanical), Risk assessment techniques (qualitative and quantitative), Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Implementation of hierarchy of hazard control measures, Dynamic risk assessments for changing work environments, Hazard reporting systems and documentation.
Module 3: Safety Procedures, Work Permits, and Site Supervision: Development and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Permit to Work (PTW) system for high-risk activities (hot work, confined space, work at height), Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) practices and energy isolation, Routine site inspections and compliance monitoring, Conducting toolbox talks and safety briefings, Supervisor’s role in emergency prevention and site discipline.
Module 4: Accident Prevention, Investigation, and Reporting: Common causes of workplace incidents and near misses, Accident and incident investigation process and root cause analysis, Documentation and reporting procedures (internal and statutory), Corrective and preventive action planning (CAPA), Maintaining accident registers and investigation records, Promoting a proactive safety reporting culture.
Module 5: Emergency Preparedness and Response Management: Types of workplace emergencies (fire, explosion, chemical spill, electrical failure), Developing and implementing emergency response plans, Conducting fire drills and evacuation simulations, Roles of emergency response teams and supervisors, First aid procedures and coordination with medical response units, Post-incident reviews and emergency improvement planning.
Module 6: Safety Training, Communication, and Audit Readiness: Planning and delivering safety training for workers and contractors, Safety induction and refresher programs, Effective communication methods for safety messages, Documentation for inspections, audits, and certifications, Preparing for internal and external safety audits, Promoting continuous improvement through training and feedback systems.

- Duration- 60 minutes.

- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
