Global Occupational Skill Standard – GOSS ID: GOSS/FS/CSA/V1

Eligibility: Graduation or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).

Objective: The Certified Safety Auditor course is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to systematically assess occupational health and safety systems across various industries. The course covers audit planning, checklist development, data collection techniques, interviews and inspections, root cause analysis, and reporting findings with corrective and preventive actions. Participants will learn to audit against relevant standards such as ISO 45001, OSHA, local regulatory requirements, and internal company policies.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.

Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.

Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.

Assessment Modules:

Module 1: Introduction to Safety Auditing and Regulatory Framework: Definition, purpose, and types of safety audits, Difference between internal, external, compliance, and system audits, Legal and regulatory requirements (OSHA, ISO 45001, Factories Act), Objectives and benefits of conducting safety audits, Role and responsibilities of a Certified Safety Auditor, Principles of auditing: independence, objectivity, and confidentiality.

Module 2: Planning and Preparation of Safety Audits: Understanding audit scope, criteria, and objectives, Preparing audit schedules and resource allocation, Reviewing past incidents, reports, and safety performance data, Developing audit checklists and tools based on standards, Communicating audit plans with stakeholders, Risk-based approach to audit prioritization.

Module 3: Conducting the Safety Audit – Techniques and Tools: Opening meetings and team coordination, Observation of site conditions, equipment, and worker behavior, Conducting interviews and verifying document records, Evaluating compliance with safety procedures and legal standards, Identifying unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and non-conformities, Recording findings with evidence-based data collection.

Module 4: Reporting and Documentation of Audit Findings: Preparing clear and structured audit reports, Classifying findings: observations, non-conformities, and best practices, Root cause identification and risk ranking of issues, Writing corrective and preventive action (CAPA) recommendations, Communicating findings to management and relevant departments, Document control and audit recordkeeping procedures.

Module 5: Follow-Up, Verification, and Continuous Improvement: Tracking corrective actions and timelines, Conducting verification audits to confirm closure, Assessing effectiveness of implemented safety measures, Using audit data for safety trend analysis and KPIs, Integrating audit results into safety management systems, Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Module 6: Auditor Competency, Ethics, and Best Practices: Required skills and qualifications of a Safety Auditor, Interpersonal and communication skills for auditors, Ethical considerations and conflict of interest management, Managing challenges during audits with professionalism, Staying updated with evolving safety standards and practices, Case studies on successful audit interventions and lessons learned.

  • Number of Questions from each module: 5.
  • Language: English.
  • Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
