Objective: The Certified Perishables Transport Specialist course is designed to train professionals in the specialized handling, storage, and transportation of perishable goods such as food, pharmaceuticals, flowers, and other temperature-sensitive products. The course covers cold chain logistics, temperature control systems, packaging standards, transport modes and conditions, shelf-life preservation techniques, real-time monitoring technologies, and regulatory compliance including HACCP, FSSAI, and international food safety guidelines.

Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:

Module 1: Fundamentals of Perishable Goods Logistics: Types and Characteristics of Perishable Goods, Supply Chain Structure for Perishables, Importance of Time and Temperature Sensitivity, Legal and Regulatory Framework, Roles and Responsibilities of Transport Specialists, Key Challenges in Perishable Logistics.

Module 2: Cold Chain Management Principles: Concept and Components of the Cold Chain, Temperature Control Standards and Protocols, Packaging Solutions for Temperature-Sensitive Goods, Monitoring and Tracking Systems, Cold Chain Infrastructure and Equipment, Risk Factors and Contingency Planning.

Module 3: Transportation Modes and Equipment for Perishables: Selection of Transport Modes (Air, Sea, Road, Rail), Refrigerated Vehicles and Containers, Pre-cooling and Loading Procedures, Temperature Mapping and Validation, Route Planning and Transit Time Management, Seasonal and Regional Transport Considerations.

Module 4: Handling, Storage, and Packaging: Best Practices in Handling Perishable Goods, Cold Storage Design and Management, Packaging Types for Various Perishables, Hygiene and Sanitation Requirements, FIFO and FEFO Inventory Systems, Shelf-Life Extension Techniques.

Module 5: Compliance, Safety, and Quality Assurance: Global Standards and Certifications (HACCP, ISO 22000), Regulatory Requirements for Food and Pharma Transport, Product Integrity and Quality Monitoring, Documentation and Labelling Norms, Health and Safety Measures for Workers, Incident Reporting and Quality Control.

Module 6: Technology Integration and Sustainability: IoT and Telematics in Perishable Transport, Real-Time Temperature and GPS Tracking, Data Analytics for Route and Load Optimization, Green Logistics Practices, Reducing Food and Resource Wastage, Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement.
