Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent or minimum 2 years of relevant experience (experience-based learners can directly enroll and certify).
Objective: The Certified Colorist course aims to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on skills in color theory, color correction, grading techniques, and digital tools used in various industries such as photography, film, graphic design, and fashion. The course focuses on understanding the psychological and technical aspects of color, mastering software like Adobe Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, or similar, and developing the ability to enhance and manipulate colors to achieve desired visual aesthetics.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Color Theory: Color basics, Color wheel and color harmony, Primary, secondary, tertiary colors, Warm and cool colors, Color psychology and perception, Color terminology and definitions.
Module 2: Hair Color Fundamentals: Hair structure and chemistry, Types of hair color (permanent, semi-permanent, demi-permanent), Levels and undertones, Color formulation basics, Understanding developer volumes, Color deposit and lift process.
Module 3: Color Application Techniques: Sectioning and preparation, Application tools and products, Single process application, Highlighting techniques, Balayage and ombré methods, Correct application timing and processing.
Module 4: Color Correction and Problem Solving: Identifying color issues, Color correction strategies, Removing unwanted tones, Fixing over-processed hair, Toner usage and application, Maintaining hair health during correction.
Module 5: Advanced Color Formulation: Custom color mixing, Using color swatches and charts, Formulating for different hair types, Adjusting formulas for gray coverage, Techniques for vibrant and pastel colors, Troubleshooting formulation errors
Module 6: Client Consultation and Safety: Conducting effective client consultations, Allergy testing and patch tests, Understanding scalp and hair conditions, Hygiene and sanitation standards, Professional ethics and communication, Post-color care and maintenance advice.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.
- Number of Questions- 30.
- Number of Questions from each module: 5.
- Language: English.
- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
- There is no negative marking in any module.
