Objective: The Certified Literary Agent Assistant course is designed to train individuals in the administrative, research, and communication skills necessary to support literary agents in managing author relationships, manuscript submissions, and contract negotiations. The course covers the publishing industry fundamentals, manuscript evaluation, rights management, marketing basics, and correspondence with authors, editors, and publishers.
Certification: Within 5 days after Completion of Online Assessment.

Steps to become a GSDCI Certified Professional:
Step 1: Select your certification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Click on get certified tab, new pop up window will open.
Step 3: Click on pay certification fee, you will be redirected to billing details page.
Step 4: Fill your details and click on pay certification fee, You will be redirected to payment gateway, pay fee by any available options like Card(Debit/Credit), Wallet, Paytm, Net banking, UPI and Google pay.
Step 5: You will get Login Credentials of Online E-Books and Online assessment link on your email id, within 48 hrs of payment.
Step 6: After completion of online assessment, you can download your Certificate Immediately.
Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Literary Agency: Role and functions of a literary agent and their assistant, Overview of the publishing industry, Types of literary agencies, Key players (agents, authors, editors, publishers), Industry terminology and workflows, Ethical standards and confidentiality.
Module 2: Manuscript Submission and Evaluation: Receiving and organizing manuscript submissions, Understanding submission guidelines and protocols, Preliminary manuscript assessment and filtering, Tracking submissions and correspondence, Maintaining submission databases, Communicating with authors professionally.
Module 3: Contract Management and Rights Administration: Basics of publishing contracts and agreements, Assisting in rights management (translation, adaptation, foreign rights), Understanding royalty structures and payments, Coordinating contract signing and record keeping, Liaising with legal and publishing teams, Monitoring contract deadlines and renewals.
Module 4: Author and Agent Support: Scheduling meetings, calls, and appointments for agents, Assisting with author communications and queries, Coordinating edits, revisions, and manuscript deliveries, Organizing promotional materials and author events, Managing travel and logistics, Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Module 5: Market Research and Networking: Researching market trends, literary awards, and bestseller lists, Identifying potential new clients and submissions, Building relationships with publishers, editors, and other industry professionals, Maintaining social media and online presence for the agency, Assisting in preparing pitch materials, Event attendance and networking support.
Module 6: Administrative and Career Skills: Office management and workflow organization, Time management and multitasking, Use of industry software and databases (e.g., Manuscript Tracker, MS Office), Confidentiality and ethical considerations, Professional communication and writing skills, Career development and growth opportunities in literary agencies.
GSDCI Online Assessment Detail:
- Duration- 60 minutes.

- Exam Type: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 50%.
